AAA Gaming For 2025

Hey Humanoid looking at my application. You wanna know if I can write? Fresh off the presses, here ya go.

Out Come The Wolves. Lets see The New Breed

2025 has had an exciting start to the gaming industry. Anticipation and announcements have been met with excitement, wonder, and a new kindled flame ready to relive our childhood once again. Nostalgia has always been a tool in the arsenal of good game development. Though some criticize companies for not creating new I.P.s more so, others tend to enjoy their established characters that we have spent years getting to know. This year boasts the opportunity for both crowds to be appeased. With an exciting new lineup of games that have been announced already to the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI that your grand ma ma warned you so direly about. Lets dive into some of the AAA games that have sparked our interest this year.

Coming in Hot in February was Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Out of nowhere this game made its rounds as one of the most popular RPG so far this year. It's 1st person perspective gives Skyrim fans that good well balanced feeling of immersion. The story is surrounded by wit and memorable characters giving off a good vibe while playing the game. I like to imagine myself living in the world of Age of Empires but on a more personal level. This is were this game shines more than a shiny Pikachu on holiday.

Also in 2025 we have seen Assassin's Creed Shadows taking on a new adventure in ancient Japan. All though this game has certainly sparked its fair share of controversy, I can't help but admit it is a gorgeous game, with great details, and very fluent gameplay. Should history be respected in video games? To be honest that is not my expertise. What should be allowed by all parties is the ability to play the game and decide for yourself. Video games are about experiencing something past our reality so that we can immerse ourselves in a world of fantasy. I can give you my two cents all day long, but I encourage you to be the judge of what you like.

What do I like though? The Nintendo Switch 2 that has been blasting itself into headlines lately! Boosting incredible hardware upgrades and optimization that is taking handheld video game technology to new levels. Offering a 1080p LCD touchscreen and HDR with a 120hz refresh rate, this little pocket rocket is worth adding to your console collection. Packed with an Nvidia Tegra T239 Graphics card and an ARM Cortex Octa-Core, this little handheld device is sure to deliver some of the best of Nintendo games we have yet to see.

We are only 4 months in and we have already seen 2 AAA games and a new console coming out sooner than expected. The year is off to a great start from Final Fantasy VII rebirth moving to PC in January to a Microsoft Showcase coming up in in June for XBOX. The world of gaming is ever growing and quite an exciting one to be a part of. I for one am looking forward to another year of gaming. Bye bye wallet.
